Back in 2021 I was fortunate enough to have been contacted by the lovely Eppie and Ed in respect of their wedding flowers. From the first call I knew that I was going to love working with this lovely couple. From the very first consultation Eppie and Ed were relaxed and laid back, but at the same time knew the look and style they were going for.
The venue was the gorgeous Pilgrims Rest in Battle and the date was April 2022. Already the venue is gorgeously decorated, but Eppie and Ed wanted to put their stamp on their day. This involved lots of natural looking flowers with a prominence of bright spring flowers.
We had several calls and some mock ups of table arrangements, and then when we were finally able to meet face to face, we met at the venue and then threw around some more ideas.. adding in an aisle of flowers down the front entrance path and flowers at the door. In addition we decided to dress up some of the windows with little meadow displays and hanging bud vases above the tables with a little spring flower.
The end result was a floral feast with concrete troughs of spring flowers down the wedding ceremony tables, interspersed with Eucalyptus and bud vases, apple crates at the entrance filled with meadow flowers and milk churns to indicate where the ceremony will take place.
All in all in was a flower fest… but still all natural and simply styled.
We used a variety of flowers, Tulips, Ranunculus, Calendula, Feverfew, Ammi and Anemones to name just a few, with beautiful Poppies for the brides bouquet.
If you are having a relaxed intimate wedding affair gives us a call to discuss how we can make your wedding flowers a reality.
