When I first met Charlotte and Colin at Pilgrims Rest in Battle to discuss the wedding florals for the venue, Charlotte quickly drew a picture of how she envisioned the tables. In her minds eye, she viewed the long tables with flowers and candles running down the middle.
At first she was unsure of the colour and switched between just green and white, to peach and apricot, to a pale blush. But once the grooms suit was sorted and she shared the picture with me, I knew that we should stick with the Apricot, which I knew would look fabulous alongside his velvet copper jacket. This was going to be a chic Apricot and White Wedding. Every element of the florals was considered.
The colour palette was sophisticated and we decided to use some beautiful foliage in the ceremony area along with bowls of flowers and a backdrop of roses.
The brides bouquet was a modern handtied bouquet with beautiful silk tails, the flowers were a combination of blush roses, apricot roses, stocks, wax flower, phlox and hydrangea. It was a perfect summer bouquet.
To compliment the bouquets, we decided on concrete troughs which were filled with flowers similar and complimentary to the brides bouquet with the addition of some grasses and cosmos to give texture and movement, these were complimented with some bud vases with taller antirinnhum to bring some additional height. The concrete troughs are a great option if you are having a wedding on trestle tables or any long narrow tables as they provide impact without taking too much depth on the tables.
