Sometimes you meet a couple who know exactly what they want. Rhianna and Edward were that couple. From the very first call, Edward and Rhianna had a very clear picture of the flowers for their late July wedding.
The couple were getting married at the traditional Leeford Place Hotel in Battle, and were very clear on the colour palette for their big day. The couple opted for a traditional wedding with classic decor.
Lilac, purple with touches of pink was their chosen colour palette and as the hotel had little in the way of wedding decoration, they opted for a moongate arch in the ceremony room with a long and low display on the signing table.

In the dining room, classic glass martini glasses were favoured, and these were filled with roses, lisanthus, stocks in lilac and deep purple and gorgeous foliage of ruscus and pittisporom.

The brides bouquet was a loose, handtied design, containing the beautiful Quicksand Rose, to compliment the lilac roses (Ocean Song), lisanthus, the bouquet was peppered with scabiosas and beautiful butterfly ranunuculus. Rhianna wanted to add a special touch to her bouquet and Edwards buttonhole in rememberance of her late grandmother and asked for an alpine flower called Edelweiss to be added. This flower was not available in the usual markets, so early in the year I purchased a couple of plants in preparation for the day. The bouquet was finished with silk tails in ivory and a very pale lilac.

Bridemaids bouquets complimented the brides with similar flowers.
Buttonholes included Lisianthus, roses and scabiosas stellata for texture.
