From the moment I met Chloe and Matt, I knew that this relaxed couple were going to be a joy to work with. From our first meeting where we threw around some ideas to the final meeting at the venue, this relaxed couple were fun to work with. The wedding flowers were going to be a joy to curate.
The venue was The Sussex Barn in Hellingly, East Sussex. A traditional barn with lovely beams and a real rustic view. The outlook for the ceremony was an expanse of countryside and immediately I knew that my style would work perfectly in this setting.
The vibe of the wedding was green and white and very natural. Chloe from the beginning said she wanted a really big bouquet which was predominately made up of beautiful foliage and with white eustoma… she was really clear about not having any roses in her bouquet. The bridesmaids would be wearing a forest green and so all the foliage needed to compliment this shade of green.
We went for a combination of eucalyptus and a combination of single and double eustoma’s in both white and green and incorporated some veronica’s, campanula, feverfew and wax flower. The combination really complimented the bride and bridesmaids dresses and this was the basis of our wedding flowers

The barn was in the perfect location so creating the wedding flowers was really about enhancing the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. But we wanted to add a touch of Chloe and Matt’s style, and Matt being a tree surgeon, offered to supply lots of foliage to help decorate the barn, the tables and use in the urns. He provided a variety of beech which was perfect and I incorporated some eucalyptus so it all blended well with the bridal flowers.
As well as Milk Churns outside in the ceremony area, we also incorporated some wedding flowers in apple crates at the entrance, filled with lots of beautiful seasonal white flowers, cosmos my personal favourite, alongside some gorgeous Dahlias, ammi Visnaga and scabious. Despite the incredible heat.. (did I mention we were in the middle of a heatwave), everything held up well for the day.

All in all it was a magical wedding with lots of lovely details from the flowergirl crown to the buttonholes… the looks was rustic, natural and complimented the venue perfectly.
